I’m writing as one of the men overseeing the work at Lo Prado Reformed Presbyterian church in Santiago Chile.
A few years ago, several women migrated to the church from Venezuela due to the difficult situation there. These women are now vital and active members of the congregation. One of them has a mother who stayed behind. We have been praying for the opportunity to help her emigrate as well, and now that has come about. However, it was expensive for the small congregation to do.
The cost in Chilean pesos is 472,963, which is roughly 645 American
dollars. To help cover the expenses, the TGB wouild like to invite members
of the RP Church to assist with these costs. Contributions can be sent to the
denominational treasurer, James McFarland, at 7408 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh PA 15208. Please note “Lo Prado Mercy” with your gift.
Any funds received above and beyond the need will be given to the Lo Prado church to assist with other ministry and mercy work.
Please be in prayer also for the families across the street from our
meeting place who lost homes this Lord’s Day past to a fire. Eight houses
were lost. Men from Lo Prado were able to assist. Fortunately, none was
seriously hurt, but the neighbors suffered the loss of almost all they had.
